WOW – I can do that in Oracle E-Business Suite
Application end-users have long been trying make work easier for a long time. The presentation will go through various examples of quick tricks and tips that will enable an efficient and smoother usage of the Oracle Applications. The presentation will also dwell on folder functionality and other functions / “products” in the E-Business Suite that are either new or not highly visible. There have been many instances where even an experienced user has not been aware of a specific task or function that would have helped get information more easily. In the past few years as a consultant implementing Oracle Applications I have been exposed to almost every type of user from the most eager – yet new – user to an experienced user. This has led to me to have a document of quick tricks and tips. This helps in getting users more comfortable when testing and reviewing functionality, as well as easier to transition workload.

Extending the E-Business Suite with the JDeveloper OA Extension
The Oracle Applications (OA) Framework is the underlying technology for most HTML based pages in the E-Business Suite. Oracle provides an Extension to Oracle JDeveloper that can be used to create custom applications in the OA Framework. The JDeveloper OA Extension can also be used to extend existing applications in the E-Business Suite that are OA Framework based. Making the transition from traditional Oracle development tools, such as Oracle Forms, can be challenging for any Developer who hasn’t had prior experience with JDeveloper, Java, and BC4J. Armed with the concepts covered in this presentation, Developers can begin building OA extensions.
